You’ve heard about the power of 1, but what about 1+1? Crosspoint Women have invited as our guest, Mandy Benedix from Pearland ISD’s RISE Mentoring program to come and share at the upcoming Girlfriends event.
Mandy will be sharing about how life is more satisfying when you have a person in your life to listen, encourage you, challenge you, and share life’s journey with.
Who is your plus one? Who brings strength to you? Helps to lighten your burdens? And helps you to overcome life’s struggles? And who’s “plus one” are you? If you don't have a mentor or mentee, we want to help you find them!
Your $5.00 registration will automatically give you a free ticket to invite a friend as your “plus one” as you both get to enjoy a complimentary snow cone together from Kona Ice of Houston Snow Cone truck.
We will also be collecting classroom supplies for the 175 new teachers in Pearland ISD. Teachers are responsible for purchasing their own supplies, so Crosspoint women want to honor these teachers by lightening their financial burden by assisting them with these supplies. Please take the time to purchase school supplies and bags and bring them the evening of the event. The items will be given to them at the New Teacher Orientation Luncheon on 8/8. Some of the most requested items are as follows:
1. Desk organizer with compartments
2. Post-it notes (pop-up kind for dispenser)
3. Pack of ball point pens (red, blue, black)
4. Pack of dry erase markers - EXPO (for white board)- big & little
5. Eraser (for white board)
6. Magnetic clips (to hang papers on white board)
7. Colored paper
8. DAP - Blue Stik (also called fun tack, holds up posters to wall)
